I'm Christine Storie - Owner & Coach at SwimStories
My journey with swimming has been a lifelong passion, starting from my earliest memories in the water. This passion led me to win two South African medals and achieve senior national qualifications before transitioning into a professional coaching career.
As a certified Learn-to-Swim and Toddler Swimming coach in South Africa, I’ve had the privilege of nurturing young swimmers and refining my skills through collaboration with Olympic medalist Marianne Kriel in Paarl. There, I led various swimming programs and trained senior swimmers, deepening my expertise and commitment to the sport.
A significant chapter in my career unfolded at Nikki's Swim Survival School in Bryanston, Johannesburg, where I discovered the critical importance of survival swimming, especially for infants as young as six months. This experience profoundly influenced my teaching methods and reinforced my dedication to swimming education.
Continuing my journey, I recently earned the title of Certified Master Survival Swim Instructor and Self-Rescue Expert in the Netherlands. This advanced qualification has equipped me with the tools to offer an unparalleled level of swimming instruction, focusing on safety, confidence, and self-rescue skills.
At SwimStories, I pour all my knowledge and passion into creating a supportive and unique environment for young swimmers. My goal is to build a strong foundation for each student, ensuring they develop confidence, safety awareness, and a lifelong love for the water. SwimStories represents the fusion of my past experiences and current dedication to fostering confident, skilled, and safety-conscious swimmers.

About our space
Our pool, the centrepiece in our home garden, is carefully heated, ensuring a comfortable and inviting swim experience throughout the year. The pool is fully covered during winter, transforming it into a cosy aquatic retreat, perfect for uninterrupted learning and fun.
