Stroke Development
(Ages 4+)
Strong technique. Confident swimming. Lifelong skills.
For children aged 4 and older who can already swim independently, our Stroke Development Program introduces real swimming technique in a supportive, structured environment.
Children learn the foundations of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, diving readiness and endurance while progressing through clearly defined levels at their own pace.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Stroke Development Program is designed for confident, water-safe swimmers who are ready to move beyond basic survival skills and begin formal swimming technique.
These private lessons focus on:
-
Strong body alignment and technique
-
Foundations of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke
-
Safe diving readiness
-
Breath control and endurance
-
Reinforcing essential survival skills
Stroke Development lessons take place at Picardie Guest Farm, 8 Laborie Street, Courtrai, Paarl, in a covered 12.5-metre pool with a working water temperature of approximately 30–32°C.
Lesson options:
15- or 30-minute private lessons, once or twice weekly. A 30-minute lesson uses two consecutive 15-minute slots.
Every child begins at Level 1 and progresses through three structured levels at their own pace.
Swimmers earn SwimStories Certificate Milestones as they grow in confidence, strength and skill.
This program provides the perfect transition from survival swimming into true, lifelong swimming competence.
