Floater Course
(6 Months – 3 Years)
The essential foundation of the SwimStories survival methodology.
This course teaches the most important life-saving skill your child will ever learn: the ability to float, breathe and remain calm in the water.
The Floater Course is where every SwimStories journey begins for children aged 6 months to 3 years.
This is the core of our program and the foundation for everything your child will learn afterwards.
What your child will learn:
-
Improved body positioning in the water
• Orient their body in the water
• Roll onto their back
• Maintain a safe, independent floating position
• Breathe calmly while floating
This life-saving skill allows your child to stay afloat until help arrives in the event of accidental water immersion.
It truly is the foundation of water safety.

FLOATER COURSE
Who this course is for:
-
Babies from 6 months to toddlers up to age 3
-
Children older than 3 who are anxious, sensitive, or new to water lessons
-
Any child who cannot yet float independently
-
All children under 3 must begin with the Floater Course, regardless of experience.
What your child will learn:
-
Calm body positioning in the water
-
Breath control
-
Orientation skills
-
Independent back floating
-
Rolling for air
-
Confidence and trust in the water environment
Floating must be mastered before a child can learn to roll, swim, or perform the Swim–Float–Swim sequence.
How the lessons work:
The Floater Course consists of:
• 4 lessons per week (Monday to Thursday)
• 3 consecutive weeks
• 12 private one-on-one sessions
• 10 minutes per lesson
Short lessons are essential for babies and toddlers. Their bodies and nervous systems absorb skills quickly but fatigue easily. Ten minutes provides the ideal learning window without overwhelming your child.
Why this method works:
Young children thrive in calm, predictable environments.
This course is designed using:
• Child development principles
• Sensory–motor learning
• Repetition and rhythm
• Emotional safety
• A proven, internationally aligned survival swim methodology.
The result is fast, lasting progress and a confident, capable young swimmer.

AFTER THE COURSE
With instructor approval, your child may move into Little Swimmers Weekly for regular 10-minute practice.
The Swim–Float–Swim Course follows when they have the foundations and readiness for the next stage. Placement is subject to availability.
Swimming lessons build skills, but no child is drown-proof. Children always need close, active adult supervision in and around water.
