Refresher Courses
Refresher Courses are for returning SwimStories swimmers who have previously completed a Water Safety & Survival Swimming Course and need to reawaken their skills after a break, time away from the water or a period of regression.
A Refresher Course is not a repeat of the full course or a recreational swimming programme. It is a short, focused reintroduction to previously learned skills.
When is a Refresher Course required?
A Refresher Course is required when:
The child completed a Water Safety & Survival Swimming Course but did not continue directly into Little Swimmers Weekly.
The child previously attended Little Swimmers Weekly, stopped lessons and now wishes to return.

ONE-WEEK REFRESHER COURSE | 10-MINUTE LESSONS
4 × 10 min | One-on-One Sessions | 1 Week | Monday–Thursday
COURSE FEE: R1 900, payable in two instalments.

ONE-WEEK REFRESHER COURSE | 20-MINUTE LESSONS
4 × 20 min | One-on-One Sessions | 1 Week | Monday–Thursday
COURSE FEE: R3 200, payable in two instalments.

TWO-WEEK REFRESHER COURSE | 10-MINUTE LESSONS
8 × 10 min | One-on-One Sessions | 2 Consecutive Weeks | Monday–Thursday

TWO-WEEK REFRESHER COURSE | 20-MINUTE LESSONS
8 × 20 min | One-on-One Sessions | 2 Consecutive Weeks | Monday–Thursday
COURSE FEE: R6 000, payable in two instalments.
DEPOSIT: R3 000 | BALANCE: R3 000
BOOKING AND PAYMENT
Once admin offers and confirms your selected time slot, we will hold it for 48 hours. A 50% deposit towards the course fee is required within this time to secure your booking. Please follow your invoice for the balance payment deadline.
If you cancel, we will apply your deposit to the reasonable cancellation charge under the current Terms and Conditions. We will refund any amount above that charge.
Each Refresher Course runs for one or two consecutive weeks, Monday to Thursday. Admin will confirm the suitable course and a fixed lesson time for all four or eight dates, subject to availability. Completing an enquiry does not secure a place.
ADDITIONAL FEES
SwimStories reusable Splash Nappy, where required: R450.
A SwimStories reusable Splash Nappy is compulsory for all children under four, even if fully potty trained, and older children who are not yet fully potty trained. Only the SwimStories reusable Splash Nappy is permitted; you may not use any other swimming nappies.
It must fit correctly and be worn for every lesson where required. The R450 purchase price is additional to the course fee.
Your booking is confirmed once suitability, enrolment and the required payment are complete.
REFRESHER COURSE DATES AND AVAILABILITY
Refresher Courses run alongside our Water Safety & Survival Swimming Courses. Your booking includes one or two consecutive weeks, Monday to Thursday.
Admin will confirm your dates and fixed lesson time, subject to availability.
Your Refresher Course includes one or two consecutive weeks within this period.

A 10-minute lesson uses one slot. A 20-minute lesson requires two consecutive available slots and must fit within the teaching period. Your child attends at the same confirmed time on each booked lesson date.
If you would like your child to return, please contact admin about the current course while places remain. If these dates do not suit your family, register your interest, and we’ll contact you when another suitable course becomes available. Registering interest does not reserve a place or guarantee a future course date.

RETURNING TO LITTLE SWIMMERS WEEKLY
Returning to weekly lessons requires completion of the refresher, instructor approval and available space. Your previous weekly day and time are not guaranteed.
The R1 000 Little Swimmers administration fee and applicable term fee are separate from the Refresher Course lesson fee and R500 refresher administration fee.
ATTENDANCE AND CANCELLATIONS
Parent-missed Refresher Course lessons do not qualify for make-ups, refunds or credits, subject to the full Terms and Conditions and any approved medical transfer.
If you cancel, we apply your deposit to the reasonable cancellation charge under the current Terms and Conditions. We refund any amount above that charge.
