Term 4 runs over 9 teaching weeks from 6 October to 4 December 2026. Registration is subject to readiness and availability.

ELIGIBILITY AND READINESS

Stroke Development is for children aged four and older who can swim independently for five to ten metres with good body position and control and are ready for structured swimming instruction.

A previous SwimStories Water Safety & Survival Swimming Course is not required.

RETURNING AFTER A BREAK

Returning swimmers must complete a minimum one-week Refresher Course and receive instructor approval before restarting. Please contact admin to arrange this. Refresher lesson fees, the R500 refresher administration fee, the R1 000 Little Swimmers re-entry administration fee and the applicable weekly term fee are separate charges. Placement is subject to availability.

2 × 30-minute lessons per week. 18 lessons. Term fee: R9 517.50. Per lesson: R528.75. Payment plan: R3 172.50 × 3.

TERM STRUCTURE AND PAYMENT

Stroke Development follows a school-term calendar with a fixed full-term fee. Teaching weeks may vary between terms. Term 4 2026 includes eight teaching weeks.

The fee reserves your child’s weekly place, instructor time and timetable allocation. The three monthly instalments divide the full-term fee; they are not payments for the exact number of lessons in each calendar month.

Payment dates are shown on your official invoice.

ADMINISTRATION FEE: R750

The administration fee is additional to the term fee and applies to new enrolments. It applies again if lessons are discontinued and the swimmer later returns. It is not charged each term during continuous enrolment.

PREFERRED DAYS AND TIMES

Please provide three suitable day-and-time options. If you are applying for twice-weekly lessons, include your preferred two days in each option.

Start times are spaced 15 minutes apart. A 30-minute lesson requires two consecutive available slots within the same teaching period.

These are timetable options, not a guarantee of availability. Admin will confirm your child’s final lesson day and time.

This week is used only for lessons cancelled by SwimStories. It is outside the eight regular teaching weeks and cannot be used for illness make-ups or other parent-missed lessons.

LESSON DAYS AND HOLIDAYS

Lessons run Monday to Thursday only. No lessons take place on public holidays, official school holidays or special school holidays. These scheduled closures do not qualify for make-up lessons, refunds, credits or fee reductions.

ATTENDANCE AND CHANGES

One illness make-up per child per term may be arranged if you email admin before the missed lesson and supply a doctor’s note, subject to space and the full Terms and Conditions. It cannot take place during the reserved replacement week. Other parent-missed lessons are forfeited.

To stop weekly lessons or reduce your booking, email admin@swimstories.co.za with 20 business days’ written notice. Business days exclude weekends and South African public holidays. Cancellation charges and any fee adjustments follow the current agreements.

After submitting your registration form, you will receive an email confirming that we have received your application. Please allow up to twenty-four hours for our admin team to send available time slots based on your preferences.

If you do not see an email, please check your spam or junk folder.

Once a suitable time slot has been confirmed, you will receive an invoice with the first of three payments for the term. New students entering the Little Swimmers Weekly Program will also receive a once-off admin fee on their first invoice. Payment must be made within twenty-four hours to reserve your time slot. Little Swimmers Weekly operates

on a term-based fee structure calculated over an average of ten weeks per school term. Current pricing is always available on the SwimStories website.

When payment is received, you will receive a confirmation email containing your personalised calendar, your weekly lesson schedule, and your payment dates for the term.

Please ensure that you read all SwimStories Terms and Conditions carefully, as parents remain responsible for the full term fee regardless of missed lessons for any reason.
