Under Water

Floater Course
(6 Months – 3 Years)

The essential foundation of the SwimStories survival methodology.
This course teaches the most important life-saving skill your child will ever learn: the ability to float, breathe and remain calm in the water.

The Floater Course is where every SwimStories journey begins for children aged 6 months to 3 years.
This is the core of our entire program and forms the base for everything your child will learn afterwards.

Through calm, gentle and structured repetition, your child learns how to:

• Orient their body in the water
• Roll onto their back
• Maintain a safe, independent floating position
• Breathe calmly while floating

This life-saving skill allows your child to stay afloat until help arrives in the event of accidental water immersion.
It truly is the foundation of water safety.

FLOATER COURSE

Who this course is for:
  • Babies from 6 months to toddlers up to age 3
  • Children older than 3 who are anxious, sensitive, or new to water lessons
  • Any child who cannot yet float independently
  • All children under 3 must begin with the Floater Course, regardless of experience.

What your child will learn:
  • Calm body positioning in the water
  • Breath control
  • Orientation skills
  • Independent back floating
  • Rolling for air
  • Confidence and trust in the water environment

Floating must be mastered before a child can learn to roll, swim, or perform the Swim–Float–Swim sequence.
How the lessons work:
The Floater Course consists of:

• 4 lessons per week (Monday to Thursday)
• 3 consecutive weeks
• 12 private one-on-one sessions
• 10 minutes per lesson

Short lessons are essential for babies and toddlers. Their bodies and nervous systems absorb skills quickly but fatigue easily. Ten minutes provides the ideal learning window without overwhelming your child.

Why this method works:
Young children thrive in calm, predictable environments.
This course is designed using:
• Child development principles
• Sensory–motor learning
• Repetition and rhythm
