Important Terms & Conditions

Please carefully read our terms listed below and tick all the boxes. This must be done before acceptance to SwimStories - Floats before Strokes Swimming School.

I hereby give my child full permission to participate in the swimming programmes offered by SwimStories - Floats before Strokes Swimming School. I accept full responsibility for the programme my child will join and acknowledge that my child will do so at their own risk.

I hereby indemnify SwimStories, Christine Storie, and any employee of SwimStories from all possible damages that might be caused by any accident, sickness, injury, or anything that might happen to my child before, during, or after the lesson.

I also indemnify SwimStories, Christine Storie, and any employee of SwimStories and hold them harmless against any loss or damage they might suffer, including all claims and proceedings made or taken against them by third parties, as well as all legal costs.

I further acknowledge that it is my responsibility to ensure the safety of all siblings, friends, and carers visiting the swimming facility and that all persons behave responsibly, e.g., no running on the pool deck, interfering with lessons, or damaging property or facilities.

Payment Terms & Conditions

• Lessons are booked on a per-term basis, and payment is required upfront.

• A once-off R1 000 admin fee will be added to your first invoice for all new swimmers.

• A two-month written notice is required for cancellations if you wish not to continue with lessons in the next term.

• Lessons continue in light rain and will only be postponed for thunder or lightning.

• Make-up lessons will be scheduled on Fridays or Saturdays, where possible, at the Paarl Aqua Centre pool with teacher Lalie Barnard. Only 2 make-up lessons with a doctor's note will be given if a child is ill.

• If your child takes a break mid-term, payment is still required for the full term.

• SwimStories reserves the right to adjust time slots in the event of operational or pool-related changes.

• Lessons will not be held on public holidays.

• Should SwimStories need to cancel a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, a make-up lesson or credit will be arranged.

• There are no make-up lessons for birthdays, weekends away, or social events.

• If your child goes on holiday or is unable to attend, payment is still required to retain their reserved time slot.

• Please ensure your child arrives on time, ready to swim, and wears swim nappies where necessary.

• If lessons are discontinued and later resumed, a refresher lesson or reassessment may be required.

• If lessons are stopped, the administrative fee will apply again.
